O say among the nations
The Lord Almighty reigns
Who with a whisper spoke
The glowing galaxies in place
Who stirred the lifeless waters
Into teeming ocean waves
Then with a breath gave life to dust
Almighty is His name

The King is on his throne
Our Great Defender rules the earth
With justice and with hope
While all the other gods of men
Are helpless wood and stone

Our God and God alone

The Christ has come to save
How sin and death must tremble

He shattered Hell’s dominion
When He broke out of the grave
And swung the gates of Heaven
Wide to welcome home the saints
